More character notes, stuff on background characters.
BACKGROUND CHARACTERS - Disjointed Notes
Stephen Fennix is Bella Fennix's older brother.
He's 28 years of age. Stands taller than her (6 foot even? I dunno), short gold-blonde hair, green eyes.
Stephen is a highly ambitious man who looked forward to the day he'd be Lord Kintotech. Cool and fairly level headed the majority of the time, Stephen knew he'd likely be the next in line to take over since he was able to understand such.
It was this knowledge of such that allowed Bella to travel the world from time to time without too much worry as to how things would be handled.
However, with the death of their father, the dynamic of things has suddenly and violently shifted. Bella has no idea where her brother is, or what he's doing currently. Only that the current rumor mill puts him either in the hands of the Southern Alliance as a prisoner, or willingly working for the Southern Alliance as an ally. He is known to have a deep loyalty to the House of Kintotech before all else, but how he's running with that loyalty now is difficult to say.
Like Bella, Stephen is a Spark, but his style and tendencies run a different line than hers. Where Bella can create engines and machinery (and clanks under a high caffeinated influence), Stephen holds the skill to create life. He can create Clanks and Constructs with relative ease, and isn't above combining the two into a cohesive cybernetic unit.
This is where his bodyguard comes in. Simply known as Echidna, Echidna is a Clank-Construct hybrid that has a massive armored body and is capable of great feats of physical strength.
Stephen's breakthrough cost him his right eye.

Comech is a very large dog Clank.
At least, at first glance. Comech was formally 'Comet', Julian Fennix's dog. When the dog was injured and dying, Julian removed the dog's brain and constructed the Clank body to operate around it. As well as a self-circulation system to allow the dog's brain to self-sustain itself. To get more water for the steam engine or more fuel, the Clank merely needs to drink or eat suitable materials.
The end result is a very large mechanical dog that is capable of amazing feats of strength and power, who's immune to standard bullets, and shakes off sword attacks. A dog who is also very loyal to Julian and Bella, as she spent far more time around Comech.
The name is short for 'Comet Mecha version', young Bella gave the dog the nickname, and it more or less stuck.
Unfortunately, since his escape from Kintotech Castle and Kintostown, Comech's whereabouts are currently unknown.
Comech's body is covered in gold colored brass, and he's roughly the size of a large, bulky, mechanical wolf. The dog's brain is in a glass dome hidden away in the chest area of the dog body. Occasionally, Comech is known to vent light amounts of steam--especially when angry. This steam is usually largely harmless and mostly for show.

In addition to the notes on Castle Kintotech listed here, Kintostown itself is something of a unique little snowflake on its own.
The Castle stands in the center of the city, the four faced clock tower being visable from anywhere except the outermost wall. And the bells can be heard from further away (They're set to chime with a quieter tune at night, although considering the sleeping habits of Sparks, most of the Kintotech bloodline really didn't care--they mainly did it because theminions townspeople complained. Loudly.) Incidentally, the clock faces light up.
Kintostown itself is powered by a massive underground clockwork system. This powers the castle, the town, and most of the ground based town defenses (This, obviously, excludes the Clanks) However, what else this gigantic mass of clockwork does has been lost to the test of time and Sparks seeing shiny new things of *SCIENCE!*.
What is known, however, is that the underground shafts below the sewers constantly turn and shift on a timed basis. However, because there's so many similar looking tunnels, it's difficult to tell what exactly the pattern is, except that there is one.
Regardless of the current shape of the tunnels, one can get to any area of town if they know how, including the Castle (although the closer to the castle you get, the quicker the tunnels shift and change).
Bella hates the underground, but has a vague knowledge of how the tunnels work once she gets down there, she also knows where most of the secret entrances are, both inside, and outside the town (she's not the only person in Kintostown with this knowledge (her late father, to name one example), but she's the only one who's relevant with such knowledge currently). Stephen's knowledge of the tunnels is far more limited.
The Southern Alliance has taken to exploring the underground tunnels, but this is not an easy task, and the soldiers regularly draw lots about which unlucky bastards get to go down there and at least half-ass explore a constantly shifting maze that's damn near impossible to map.
Kintostown is located in an area that's prone to rainstorms more often than not. The skies are generally overcast, and as stated on the previous notery post, the clock tower's lightning rod is struck often for a secondary power source.

Currency of the Wulfenbach Empire is called "Castlemark", which are presumably gold coins with the winged rook on at least one side.
